This weekend I (Kate) went to what is becoming one of my favorite food festivals: The Jewish Food Festival.  A friend of ours is a member of Keneseth Beth Israel, and volunteers every year. The food is great- lots of familiar foods (corned beef, brisket, latkes) as well as some unfamiliar foods such as shwarma, a seasoned lamb/chicken/turkey roasted and shaved, similar to a Greek gyro.  We also visited Bubbe's Bakery for some dessert yumminess!  This was the first year the festival was held at the JCC, and it seemed to work really well! There was a lot of room, plenty of places to sit, great music and even better company. Great way to kick off the 2013 festival year!
